- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil (or any cooking oil)
- **For Cooking:**
- 2-3 tablespoons oil (mustard or vegetable)
- 1-2 bay leaves
- 2-3 whole cloves
- 1-2 green cardamoms
- 1 stick cinnamon
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
### Instructions
1. **Marinate the Chicken:**
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, coriander, salt, and sliced onions.
- Add the chicken pieces and mix well to coat. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.
2. **Cook the Chicken:**
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Sauté for a minute until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken, including the marinade. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. **Simmer:**
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally, and add a little water if needed to prevent sticking.
4. **Serve:**
