Fish Chop (মাছের চপ)

 Here’s a recipe for "Fish Chop" (মাছের চপ):


### Ingredients:


- 500g fish fillets (such as vetki or any firm white fish)

- 1 large potato, boiled and mashed

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)

- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped

- 1 egg, beaten

- Breadcrumbs (for coating)

- Oil (for frying)


### Instructions:


1. **Prepare the Fish**:

   - Steam or boil the fish until cooked. Remove bones and mash the fish finely.


2. **Make the Filling**:

   - In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté the chopped onions until golden.

   - Add green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.

   - Add the mashed fish and potato, mixing well. Stir in the coriander leaves. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Allow it to cool.


3. **Shape the Chops**:

   - Once the filling is cool, shape it into small, oval patties.


4. **Coat the Chops**:

   - Dip each patty in the beaten egg and then coat with breadcrumbs.


5. **Fry the Chops**:

   - Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.


6. **Serve**:

   - Drain on paper towels and serve hot with chutney or sauce.
